Earlier this week, a Pinoy contestant won the hearts of the judges and audience in the international singing contest “I Can See Your Voice Korea.” Meet Sephy Francisco, an aspiring Pinoy singer who flew all the way to South Korea to showcase his singing talent! In the end, he managed to leave a lasting impression with a rendition of Celine Dion’s “The Prayer.”
His heartfelt performance caused the judges’ jaws to drop to the floor! Even famous K-pop stars like the boy band Block B were speechless right after hearing Sephy Francisco’s golden voice. The judges were in for the surprise of the century after hearing the contestant’s deep and soothing voice.

Based on what we’ve gathered in a report published by ABS-CBN News, this is not the first time that Sephy Francisco has joined a televised talent search. Before flying to South Korea, the Pinoy contestant joined Philippines’ local franchise of “I Can See Your Voice.” However, he did not make it to the final round so he decided to try his luck abroad.
“It’s really been my dream to be here in Korea and I experienced a lot of first time. I experienced the snow, the very first time I experienced it [here]. [It’s] the very first time I got a passport, very first time I got visa so a lot of first time here in Korea.”
Aside from his overflowing passion for singing, another thing that motivates Sephy Francisco to pursue a career in singing is his family back in the Philippines. During his interview with the judges, the Pinoy contestant revealed that his family has been struggling with poverty. Driven with the goal to provide a better living for his family, Sephy tirelessly joins singing contest with the hope of finally getting his big break.
“Right now I am the breadwinner of the family. I am currently the one who is earning. Because of my voice I was able to earn money for my family because before we are very, very poor I really want to pursue my dreams to be a singer and inspire others.”
